November 2025 – Independent Analytics

This month we were treated to a presentation of Independent Analytics WordPress plugin. This plugin provides o-site PRIVATE and SECURE analytics. While this has some limitations compared to products such as Google Analytics the benefits of not depending on cookies are complete respect for the privacy and autonomy of a sites guests as well as no dependence on a Cookie Permission Verification which can disable all other tracking that uses cookies for analytics.

October 2025 – Peak Zebra Data Plugin

Much more than a forms plugin or ACF, Peak Zebra really provides the ability to customize data usage within your wordpress environment. This locally built WordPress plugin wrapped initially around Newsletter publication provides very advanced use-case details for people with varied experience in WordPress. If you want to combine more advanced data usage with your wordpress installations check out this plugin.

February 2025 Classic Themes vs. Block Themes

Presented by Lauren Pittenger – Website Design for Coaches

This month’s presentation by Lauren Pittenger outlines the significant differences between Classic WordPress themes and the new (current) generation Block Themes. In her words “The WordPress Site Editor offers full edibility, flexible and beginner-friendly customization, uses Global Styles, and encourages modern design practices.” and her presentation goes into greater detail therein.
