In 2014, a co-founder of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg, asked the WordPress community to proactively support the open source project through Five for the Future. The basic premise of the program is to  encourage those using and benefiting from WordPress to give 5% of their work efforts back to the project.

Headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, with a fully-distributed team, WebDevStudios regularly mentions its support for Five for the Future on its website and across social media. With about 40 employees, WebDevStudios gives a significant amount of value to the WordPress community and ecosystem through Five for the Future. Yet, what does WDS get out of it? How has Five for the Future benefitted the WebDevStudios team and company?

Join us in person when the CEO and co-founder of WebDevStudios, Brad Williams, sits down with our own Liam Dempsey for an interview. Brad and Liam will discuss Five for the Future – and Brad will share his own ideas and experiences about the program, and how it has benefited his company.
