This month I’ll be talking about my favorite utility websites. No, I’m not talking about PECO or PGW. I’m talking about the sites that do one small, specific thing really well. If you think of the browser like a toolbox, each of these websites is like a wrench or a hammer, helping me get things done. Most of these websites don’t require an account, none require an extension or an app, and they’re simple and intuitive to use. They’re little tools that can save me a lot of time.
As a web developer, many of my go-to utility sites are development-related — but not all of them. I’ve got some great picks for design, a few that are useful to send to clients, and others that are just plain handy, no matter what you do online.
For those that may not know me, hello there, I’m Ashley Pfeil. I’ve been a web developer for over a decade now. I’ve been working with WordPress for most of that time. I use other frameworks as well. I’m one of the organizers of this group. I work for a small marketing agency just outside of Philly.
