With the holiday season approaching, we are organizing a different sort of meetup to celebrate the diversity and beauty of the global WordPress community. We’re hoping to organize a series of 5-minute talks from people in as many different countries as we can for our December meetup.
Folks from Afar Coming to the Philly ‘burbs
With the widespread use of Zoom, our local community has benefited from visits from folks within the WordPress world who might not otherwise be able to visit the suburbs of Philadelphia. Since the arrival of COVID-19, we have had presenters from Arizona-via-Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Grand Rapids, Miami, Denver, and Minneapolis. We have also enjoyed presentations from folks from not too far from Philly – like Reading and Lancaster, PA.
An Invite to Our Global Community
For December, we are asking folks who live in any country beyond the USA to spend time with our little community. We are inviting folks from around the global WordPress community to deliver a 5-minute presentation to our group.
The focus of the presentation can be about anything that might of interest to a WordPress professional: designer, developer, content creator, power user, website administrator, marketing consultant, project manager, and beyond. We’re open to talks about any of the following and more:
- A favorite plugin
- A favorite theme
- Top choice for web hosting
- A quick tip or technique
- Ideas for content creation
- Preferred design tools
- Sales advice and business development
To be clear, we are open to any topic that can relate to a WordPress professional. If in doubt, please apply. We want to hear from you.

Will links to resources or discussion be posted here? I was looking to see how to use a screen reader to review a web page for accessibility? Is that software requiring an installation or are there solid web-based tools to help review pages for that? Paid tools vs. Free or Freemium? Great subject to exploit.
