“Hooks are a powerful part of how WordPress works. While Hooks include both Actions and Filters, we’ll focus on Filters and how they allow you to alter the behavior of WordPress. WordPress core and many plugins include filters. We’ll look at how we can use these filters to bend WordPress to our will.
